Enron CEO Kenneth Lay speaks out on the problem of CEO
abuse: |
It
cost us so much money to get Bush into office that we went
bankrupt!

When
Karl Rove came along and said we needed to spend every last
cent on getting Bush in to office, I said, "But is
it really that important? And why can't we just let the
people decide?" He slapped me around a bit, and finally
I agreed.
But
now I feel I have to speak out. You see, CEO abuse is problem
that won't go away on its own. As long as goons in the Republican
party keep forcing CEOs to side with them instead of the
Democrats, more and more giant corporations are going to
go bankrupt. Just you wait: Boeing, American, Honeywell...I
hear that even GE got a few black eyes when it complained
about having to turn over hundreds of millions to these
guys.
|
Today,
I only feel safe enough to speak out thanks to the good people
here at the Battered CEO shelter. I don't know what I would
have done without them. They taught me that I was not to blame
for what happened. |
