This week's topic: Compassionate Conservatism [past topics]

Here's how we do 'em down in Texas:

I've worked to make capital punishment in Texas the most excruciating & humiliating way to die ever devised by man on Earth--the ultimate premeditated murder:
First: We keep the inmate on death row for several years, with an indefinite execution date.
Next: We give the inmate 30 days notice of execution. At this time we move her to an isolation unit, and exchange her regular uniform for a hospital gown.
During these last 30 days of life, guards observe and record the prisoner's behavior every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
This prevents suicide, which is of course illegal, but serves the dual purpose of denying the prisoner peace & dignity in the precious last moments of life.
An execution nearly every week during the primaries will help teach America about compassionate conservatism:

Isn't "an eye for an eye" kind of outdated? My gut tells me that the punishment should be worse than the crime.

What would Jesus do? I'm no theologian, but I'm pretty sure he'd fry 'em.
